Syllabus and Time Table

One of the highlights of the faculty is the Dept of Applied Arts where students strive to achieve excellence in all spheres of Applied Arts, be it Advertising Design, Illustration or Photography. These three majors are offered at U.G. and P.G. level both. Students of Applied Arts are also trained in Computer graphics and graduates from here are highly placed in 2D & 3D Animation Houses. The institute has produced many students who went on to become Art Director, Creative Head or Chief Visualizers in many top-advertising agencies of India. Besides private sector, government sector has also absorbed lots of students from Applied Arts as class II officers in various design sections. Our institute was the first in India to introduce P.G. Course in Photography in 1997 and has bagged as many as 22 international awards and several scholarships and honours in last 8 batches only. It's popularity and achievements have prompted other institutes to start the same course, however our standard is yet to be matched by others. 

The aim of the department is to make student well aware of the present technology and inculcate skill at par with the best in the industry. After completing the course the student is so well versed in his field that he need not go from pillar to post in order to find a good job. The job prospects are 200% in various branches of Applied Arts and students have been offered jobs with starting salary from 25,000-70,000 within 1-2 years of experience due to their high level of skill.

The future planning of Applied Art department is to introduce 2D and 3D Animation courses separately from B.V.A. course. There will be no age limit for this particular course and students passing from here will be highly sought after in the professional field.

 Minimum qualification and age:-

A Candidate must not be more than 28 years of age as on 31st July of the year in which he/she seeks admission and also he/she must have cleared U.G. within last three years. There is no age bar for a teacher to do MFA/MVA if he/she is teaching at degree level.  

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme:
