One of the highlights of the faculty is the Department. of Commercial Arts where students strive to achieve excellence in all spheres of Applied Arts, be it Advertising Design, Illustration & Photography. These three majors are offered at U.G. and P.G. level both. Students of Applied Arts are also trained in Computer graphics and graduates from here are highly placed in 2D & 3D Animation Houses. The institute has produced many students who went on to become Art Director, Creative Head or Chief Visualizers in many top-advertising agencies of India. Besides private sector, government sector has also absorbed lots of students from Department of Applied Arts. Our institute was the first in India to introduce P.G. Course in Photography in 1997 and has bagged many international awards and several scholarships and honours in last 8 batches only. It's popularity and achievements have prompted other institues to start the same course, however our standard is yet to be matched by others. The aim of the department is to make student well aware of the present technology and inculcate skill at par with the best in the industry. |
