Master of E-Business (MEB) Programme

(Two-years four-semester full–time programme)

Concept of E-Business

Today we are in the midst of an e-business revolution. By using information technology, organizations are transforming their businesses and completely redefining business as we know it. In an e-business, practically all aspects of the operations which are crucial to the business i.e. Business Culture, Business Technology, Business Processes and Organisational structures are going to change.

A true E-Business is a business that utilizes the full power of the information networks to make its operations dramatically more efficient, less expensive and more flexible than ever before. An e-business strategy has four horizons of integration: Vertically, between web front and back end systems; Laterally, between a company and its customers, business partners, suppliers or intermediaries; Horizontally, among e-commerce, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Knowledge Management Systems; and Downward through the enterprise for integration of new technologies with radically redesigned business process.

The e-business gives a higher payoff in the form of improved customer services, improved customer satisfaction, greater customer retention, lower operating costs, better quality products and services, high business efficiency, more competitiveness, better business intelligence, broader market coverage, and fewer administrative errors.

Why a Master in E-Business (MEB) Programme?

The growth and projected growth of e-business calls for graduates who understand current and future trends in e-business and are prepared to manage the analysis, design, transformation, implementation and operation of an e-business.
