Bachelor of Public Health (BPH)

M.Sc. in Nutrition and Health

As we are graduating towards development and greater success, human development is gaining more prominence. In human development, role of public health is more predominant. Public health is related to preventive, promotive and curative measures and it is more significant than the medical treatment alone since the public health is more comprehensive and more assuring. Now, India is embarking upon the goal of universal health, be it rural or urban; be it poor or rich; be it young or old; or be it male or female. Even the new government is moving on this objective rather with greater zeal and commitments. However, there is lack of skilled manpower in the area of public health in India as there are very few institutions across the country, who is offering this type of course. In Uttar Pradesh, we are the only institution to embark upon this manpower training programme and we are committed for quality and we want to match the quality requirements in a dynamic framework. There would be acute shortage of health professionals in the country in for at least 10-20 years considering the untapped health interventions.
